㽶Ƶ students will pay the same low tuition rates this school year, with no increase.

The CF District Board of Trustees approved the college’s annual budget on June 24, keeping tuition rates flat for all degree and certificate programs in support of the state’s priority on no tuition increases. This year’s tuition rate continues CF’s ranking as one of the most affordable colleges in the country.

“Three-quarters of 㽶Ƶ graduates leave the college with no student loan debt,” said Dr. Jim Henningsen, CF president. “Keeping college affordable is a priority at CF, and our students graduate with jobs, not debt.”

CF consistently ranks among the top 7% of colleges in the nation for affordability, according to the U.S. Department of Education. The cost for associate level courses is $112.92 per credit hour, or approximately $2,710 per year for a student with a 12-credit course load for two semesters. The cost for a bachelor’s level course is $129.27 per credit hour, or approximately $3,102.48 for a student with a 12-credit course load for two semesters.

CF’s tuition is about half the cost of a public Florida university and only 13% of the cost of a private Florida university.

The 㽶Ƶ is working hard to integrate a newly installed student information software system. Despite our best efforts, financial aid disbursements have been delayed by a series of technical setbacks related to the integration of the new system.
What is the cause of the issues?
After launching CF’s new technology system, we have identified some inaccuracies in student records. In order to legally disburse financial aid, we must first correct and verify these student records, which are used to determine financial aid offers.
What is CF doing about it?
We are addressing these technical issues with great urgency and are in the process of manually verifying all affected student records to ensure aid offers are correct before disbursement. Because of the complexity of the process, exact payment dates are not available at this time and estimated financial aid on student’s Financial Aid Dashboard may not be accurate. We are working to ensure all students receive the funds they are eligible for. We understand the impact this has on our students and have reallocated staff and contracted additional outside technical support to complete the distribution as soon as possible.

If students have an emergency financial need, they are encouraged to apply to the CF Patriot Fund, which is located on the Help tab and the Student Accounts tab on the MyCF Portal.

Tuesday, June 2, 2026

Due to CF’s new IT system, disbursement of Summer financial aid is delayed. We recognize that this delay may place a burden on students relying on those funds. For information about student resources including emergency funds, the Patriot Pantry, and the Clothes Closet, please visit the MyCF portal and click on the Help tab.

Please note that the information displayed on the Financial Aid Dashboard of the MyCF Financial Aid tab may not be accurate at this time, but we are working diligently to update the data in order to disburse funds as soon as possible. Once more information becomes available, we will provide updates on the MyCF portal.

Financial aid for the Spring semester is currently being disbursed, and 90% of funds have already been sent to students. Please continue to be patient as we complete the remaining spring disbursements in the coming weeks. Students can check the status of their aid in the Financial Aid tab of the MyCF Portal. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to make your student experience easier.

Because of planned system updates, some students are experiencing an unexpected delay in receiving student aid funds from loans, scholarships and grants. We regret the disruption our system transition has caused and are committed to ensuring students receive 100% of the federal financial aid they qualified for. Our team is working hard to resolve this issue and we expect all eligible financial aid to be disbursed by mid-April. Please rest assured this delay will not impact your enrollment in courses. For information about student resources including emergency funds, the Patriot Pantry, and the Patriot Closet, please visit the Help tab in your MyCF Student Portal.

Thursday, Feb. 5, 2026

The 㽶Ƶ’s system upgrade begins today and will continue through to March 1. Services will have alternate processes during this time.

Monday, Jan. 12, 2026

The 㽶Ƶ is in the process of planned system upgrades, and almost all services will have alternative processes during Feb. 5 – March 1. These upgrades will support better online services, simplified processes and improved access to academic and financial information. Services will resume March 2.

We appreciate your patience as we work to improve your experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

CF is working hard to integrate its new systems, but despite our best efforts some students are experiencing delays in their services. We are committed to supporting all students during this time. This FAQ is sectioned by department; please select the applicable area below:

Jump to: 㽶Ƶ | Advising | Financial Aid | Registrar/Graduation | Student Accounts

㽶Ƶ

When will my application be processed?

Applications are being processed in the order in which they were received. Currently, there is a 3 week waiting period for processing. Once your application has been processed, you will receive an email with next steps.

Can I still schedule a campus tour?

Yes, join us at any of our campus locations for a tour! You can see available dates and times at www.CF.edu/Tour.

Advising

Can I still meet with my adviser?

Yes, advising appointments are available. Please use your advisor’s Calendly link, located in Canvas, to schedule an appointment. You may also email your advisor directly. You can find your advisor’s email on the MyCF Student Portal under the Academics tab.

Can I make changes to my academic pathway?

Yes. Schedule an appointment with your academic advisor to ensure the correct pathway is applied to your student record.

Financial Aid

Why is financial aid delayed?

We have identified some inaccuracies in student records and because of that we encountered multiple unexpected challenges with disbursing aid for the Summer 2026 term. The college has made significant progress resolving the implementation issues and has reassigned staff and contracted with expert software techs to get the issues resolved more quickly and accurately. Moving forward, we anticipate that the new system will streamline the student experience. We are actively working to resolve the issues with financial aid but do not have a clear timeline for full disbursement yet.

When will I be able to get my financial aid?

We have been working through transitioning to a new technology system and as a result, financial aid disbursements for the Summer 2026 term are following a different timeline than usual. If a student has aid from multiple funding sources, such as federal, state and local grants, scholarships or loans, it is possible that aid will be received in multiple deposits at different times.

Financial aid is expected to be disbursed to students registered only for Summer A or C term first, then to students registered for Summer B term. Financial Aid is expected to be disbursed in this order:

  1. Institutional grants and scholarships; CF Foundation scholarships; State scholarships and grants, including Florida Bright Futures
  2. Loans
  3. Pell grants

Our top priority is ensuring that every student is granted the full amount of financial aid money they’re entitled to as quickly as we can.

How does the college receive financial aid funds to give to students?

The college does not receive any funds for grants or loans until the moment just before it is transferred to NelNet for disbursement. The amount the college receives depends on student eligibility and that eligibility is currently being handled manually until the new system inaccuracies are completely resolved.

It’s important to review and approve each student file before applying aid to ensure students are not under-awarded or over-awarded, which could result in having to pay back funds. This is an extremely rare occurrence and it is not expected to happen since we are taking care to check each student’s eligibility.

Is my aid offer accurate?

The information displayed on the Financial Aid tab in the MyCF portal may not be accurate at this time, but we are working diligently to update the data in order to disburse funds as soon as possible.

What other options are available to me as a student for financial assistance?

We recognize that this delay may place a burden on students relying on those funds and have developed a list of available financial resources, such as our Patriot Pantry and Patriot Fund, at CF.edu/FinanceHelp. You can also find resources on the MyCF Student Portal under the Help tab.

If you will be late on July rent, you can request a letter from CF to your landlord explaining the situation and requesting an extension on payment by emailing the Dean of Student Services via viatork@cf.edu.

Will the delay in aid affect my enrollment?

Your class enrollment will not be affected and you will be able to register for classes without issue. Nobody with pending financial aid will be dropped from any CF courses.

Registrar/Graduation

Can I register for Fall 2026 yet?

Yes. Fall registration is open. You can self-register on the MyCF portal under the Enrollment tab.

When will I receive my requested transcript?

Transcript requests are being handled in the order they have arrived. Please be patient with us as we work through the backlog. You can check the status of your request on . If you have an urgent transcript need, please email transcripts@cf.edu.

When will I receive my diploma?

We are experiencing delays with processing official diplomas and certificates. Graduates from the May 2026 commencement can expect to receive their diplomas by August, mailed to the current address on file.

Student Accounts

How will I receive refunds?

CF is moving refund services from BankMobile to Nelnet. If you are eligible for a refund, you will need to set up an account in Nelnet and select a refund method. If you do not update your refund preference, your refund will be mailed as a paper check.

Visit CF.edu/StudentAccounts or the Student Accounts tab on the MyCF Student Portal for instructions on setting up your Nelnet account. If you already have a Nelnet account, no further action is needed.

How do I know I’m eligible for a refund?

Students can view their refund status in the Student Accounts tab of the MyCF Portal. If you are eligible for a refund, you will receive a notification from noreply-refunds@nelnet.net.

The 㽶Ƶ Ira Holmes International Film Series will continue Tuesday, Jan. 30, featuring the award-winning film “Pather Panchali.”

In 1955, the world was introduced to a compelling and significant new cinematic voice with the debut of Director Satyajit Ray’s film, resonating eloquently across the global stage. A depiction of rural Bengali life in a style inspired by Italian neorealism, this naturalistic but poetic evocation of a number of years in the life of a family introduces us to both little Apu and, just as essentially, the women who will help shape him. With resplendent photography informed by its young protagonist’s perpetual sense of discovery, the film –which won an award for Best Human Document at Cannes – is an immersive cinematic experience filled with elemental power.

A screening will begin at 2 p.m. at the Appleton Museum of Art, 4333 E. Silver Springs Blvd., and is free to all museum and film series members; nonmembers pay museum admission. A second screening will begin at 7 p.m. at the CF Ocala Campus, 3001 S.W. College Road, Building 8, Room 110. The screening at the CF Ocala Campus is free and open to the public.
